How to Set Up Private Internet Access on Chromebook

To do so, open the PIA Chrome Extension and click on the 'Connect' button. Hit 'Save identity and password' and then enter the username and password generated for you in the first step. Change the 'Provider type' to L2TP/IPsec + Pre-shared key and enter 'mysafety' as the pre-shared key.

In my case, I'm connected to the US-EAST server. Feel free to choose any one of the VPN servers available on the list provided by Private Internet Access. Fill in the remaining details as shown in the screenshot below.
